Vintage Highchair / Booster Seat

I realised last week that I’d finished this high chair some time ago but had never taken any photos…. so today is the day to share

Vintage Highchair

I picked this one up at The Smith Family Op Shop and while it was covered in a thick layer of lacquer it was in perfect condition. The turned legs and back just give it such a great shape I had to take it home… despite the fact that neither of my kids would use it! I’m hoping to find it a new home with a little person ready to sit up at the table for dinner

I thought the aqua colour (Provence by Annie Sloan) would be perfect as it works for boys or girls. It’s such a bright and cheerful colour, I’m in the process of using it on my front door! I’ve given it a light distress and finished it with clear wax.

I’ve been a little quiet on the project front lately; I’ve had challenges and changes in my life that have had me unsteady this year. I keep saying I will get back on track soon, but I’m realising that a better way of looking at it is to accept that things may just be like this for a little while. Hope you’ll bear with me
