The Makers and Painters Market - Melbourne

If you subscribe to my newsletter (if you don't and would like to, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and you can enter your email address on the right hand side) you may have seen me post about this new market in Melbourne, and most importantly, some amazing workshops being run as part of the event.

The market is being run by my fellow Annie Sloan stockists Joolze Lind from Gisbourne French Provincial and Bernice Ryan from French & Co, and is designed to showcase locally handmade and handpainted products. What makes the event even more special is that they will be hosting our very own Annie Sloan, and Annie will be running a series of public workshops that anyone can book into and attend. 25 years ago, Annie trademarked her amazing Chalk Paint and has truly been a leader in our field since that time. If you've always wanted to learn from Annie, but thought you'd have to travel to the UK to do so, now's your chance!

The market is being held at the iconic Meat Market Building in North Melbourne, on Saturday November 3 and Sunday November 4 2018. As well as the workshops, there will also be a chance to have Annie sign one of her books, and ask questions during the meet and greet slots in the schedule.

Along with Annie, Joolze and Bernice have managed to also book Jonathon Marc Mendes of Painted Love to run additional workshops for their event! That makes two amazingly brilliant painters in one location! Jonathon was selected as one of Annie's Painters in Residence last year and he completed a number of stunning pieces using Annie's range. If you haven't already seen some of Jonathon's amazing work, you can find him here.

I've booked in to do both Jonathon's workshops on the Saturday (Annie will be running a separate stockist program after the event, otherwise I would have booked in to see her too!). If you're planning on attending please let me know as friendly faces are always welcome at these events!

I'm so excited for November to roll around and can't wait to see this event unfold. The opportunity to see the world leader in our industry right here in Australia, as well as an internationally renowned painter, is amazing. Julie and Bernice have really set this up to be a wonderful weekend! If you'd like to find out more about the event, you can find details here.
