Hexagonal Table in Old White

Hexagonal Side Table

When I found this little side table  I almost had to pass on by. I’d already filled the car with a buffet, mirrors and picture frames, and I just didn’t think I could fit her it. I even left and started to get in my car. And then I went back again.

So she came home and got stuck in the hoard for a little while. Then just before Christmas I started and I’ve finally finished her over the weekend. With the end of preschool and Christmas and holidays I’ve had to fit painting in when I can, which hasn’t been very often. So this little table has taken two months to finish!!

I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White, which I’d describe as a creamy white. All the corners are distressed to give it a weather look and to highlight those lovely legs

I do love tables with a shelf underneath! Perfect for magazines, trays, knick knacks, whatever you like. And with the glass table top it means you can see the pops of colour from above. It also means that even if you like a clear table top, you can have a little vignette underneath to prevent it from being boring

I’ve been doing a big clean out over the holidays and been thinking about the pieces I’d really like to work on this year. Do you work that way? Get ideas and just need to find the right piece for them? I’ve had drawers on my mind for a few weeks, I’ve found one set that I’m loving (you can see what’s happening with those on Facebook) but I’d love another. And maybe another buffet / sideboard (I’ve finished one that I’ll share later this week). And a coffee table for an ottoman conversion…

Thanks for stopping by…
