I’m a little late with my post this week; we’ve been busy with book week at Emma’s school and its been too grey and rainy for photos. But better late than never! And here’s my dipped leg bedside table!
I’ve had this little bedside for a while now, tucked away in the garage and waiting for a makeover. It was originally black, but I decided on a softer look, using the Annie Sloan Louis Blue from this project, and Pure White.
I’ve seen loads of furniture with dipped legs and decided the lovely turned legs on this one would be perfect to try it out myself. I’m still tossing up whether to do something similar on my dining room chairs… but it’s a project very, very far down the list! (It’s a project for me, so of course it’s last on the list!)
I’ve also finally gotten a new camera! After mine was stolen I’ve been using my iPhone which has been less than ideal, but had to save for a little while to get something new. I’m always guided by my sister on techy stuff, and she found me a Nikon 5100 a few weeks ago for a great price. I hadn’t really had the chance to try it out at all; I’d charged the battery and inserted the card and then got distracted with something else! I’m hoping it have more of a play over the weekend, but today it got its first work out taking photos of this project.
I’ve got a list a mile long ready for work on this weekend – a drop leaf table, a little round side table (or two) and two wardrobes. I’m looking forward to it!
