Chalk Paint™ Inspiration – Giverny

In August we were all excited to see the arrival of Annie’s latest Chalk Paint™ colour, Giverny.

Named after the village in Northern France where French Impressionist painter Claude Monet lived, Giverny is a bright and clean blue, perfect for modern or coastal inspired styles. This brilliant blue is closer to the greens in Annie’s palette, without any red in it that would deepen the colour.

The gorgeous side table above is a great example of just how bright Giverny is. By placing the green Antibes lamp and the English Yellow wooden bar in the frame you can see how Giverny complements them, rather than fades off into the background.

Giverny is also a perfect colour for white wax, as show on this farmhouse table makeover shared at Perfectly Imperfect. I’m using lots of white wax at the moment; it’s perfect for Annie’s deeper colours, but I’m using it on every Pure White piece at the moment too!

Giverny is the first of three new colours scheduled for launch this year, plus a new book by Annie titled ‘Paint Everything’. Can’t wait to share them with you! Don’t forget, if you sign up for our monthly newsletter you will receive 10% off a tin of our colour of the month!
