It’s been a little quiet here at Paisley Vintage, on the blog front anyway; I’ve started my new job, Emma and Harry have gone back to school, and things have just been all over the place. My new job has been great, and will share more soon, but in the meantime I’ve finished a project to share!
The weekend just gone Emma and Harry spent with their Dad and I got stuck into some painting. I would love to say I have a raft of projects finished but unfortunately a few pieces that I thought were good to go needed more work than I thought. And that full tin of white paint that I was planning to use was actually an empty tin. UGH! So I focused on what I could finish, this cute little ampersand table!
This table had actually been on the side of the road in a junk pile; I wish I had a before shot, or even a photo of it sitting on top of the junk pile… Someone had painted it white, then green, then spray painted it pink. They also used a fork to stab tiny little holes on the top (WHY???) but luckily for me they had only scratched the surface. And now she’s all dolled up and ready for a new home. I hand painted the ampersand on top to give it a little something extra; I love typography and ampersands are just cool… The table is Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White and the ampersand is done in Paris Grey.
I’ve a few custom projects coming up, and I’m still working away on the vintage wardrobes I found a little while ago. My fingers are crossed for a weekend of good weather so I can keep painting!
